Our winners in 2014 Scholastic Art & Writing Awards

Congratulations, our students Heather Wu, Catherine Peng and Amy Long have won the Gold Key and Silver Key Awards in 2014 Regional Scholastic Art & Writing Awards Programs in CT and MA. Over 136 private, public and parochial Connecticut schools have participated and over 2,000 artworks were submitted to the Scholastic Art Award program in 2014.

Instructors Mr. Li and Ms. Zhai invited to La Grua Center in Stonington, CT for a workshop.

During this summer, instructor Mr. Li and Mrs. Zhai were invited to La Grua Center in Stonington, CT  for a workshop. They demonstrated bamboo drawings of names, paper cut-outs and glass printmakings which attracted many kids on site and were highly praised by the organizer. The art is the common language of human being without any boundaries.

暑假期间,李林老师和翟宇卷老师应邀到Stonington 的La Grua Center做 workshop. 分别展示了:竹子画名字、中国剪纸、玻璃版画等艺术课程,受到该地区儿童的热烈欢迎。也受到主办人的赞扬。艺术是人类共同的语言,艺术没有国界。












Our winner in the 22nd Annual All-American Chinese Brush Painting and Calligraphy Competition in 2013

Congratulations, our Chinese painting student Arianna Xie entered as the finalist  at The 22nd Annual All-American Chinese Brush Painting and Calligraphy Competition (第22屆全美青少年國畫書法比賽) hosted by the Founation for Chinese Performing Arts (中華表演藝術基金會) in Boston. Arianna is the only winner from Connecticut. Her work had been exhibited at Boston Chinese Culture Center and will be published online at by June 2013.SONY DSC2013-03-101

Children's Chinese Painting
Chinese painting is a quintessence of Chinese traditional culture. Gradually, it is accepted and admired by many patrons across the globe. Children's Chinese Painting focuses on this concept but is also influenced by the children's artistic preferences. It attracts children's interests of painting and also helps them understand Chinese culture.
The advantage of Chinese painting also reflects upon the cultivation SONY DSCof children's characters and temperament. The distinctive Chinese aesthetics will allow them to be more creative. Chinese painting uniquely affect on fostering children's abilities of observation, thinking capacity, patience and order.
Picasso once said: "Every child is a talent artist". Every child naturally has the talent to express his or her thinkings by painting and drawing. It is up to us to guide them successfully. The tools of Chinese Painting is relatively simple- a bottle of ink and one or two brushes. You will find that they are actually very miraculous.
